The Jam Session incorporates both traditional and progressive bluegrass
and folk music as well as a Celtic session. According to Hope Hanes,
artistic director for the center, “Many of the musicians who play here
recognize that American music is a melting pot, with many styles drawing from
the musical traditions of their Irish, Scottish, English and African
heritages.” Hanes also states, “The jam session itself is one of
those events where you can come listen to the music being created as a work
in progress.” You bring the
guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, or whatever instrument you play; we'll
provide the rest. Whether your
want to play or just listen, come sit in on an evening of free-flowing
bluegrass and folk, Round Hill style. It's sure to be a good time!
Barbecue dinner, beer, wine and kid-friendly food are available for
purchase.. |
